I have been a part of the first responder community for several years now working alongside local law enforcement. I know that you are here with reservation. The first responder community is known for its resilience, but also its hesitation to reach out for help. I have sat next to officers, in their patrol vehicles, for years. I have stood next to them on calls. I have witnessed the steadfast dedication to their community, even when members of the community remain ungrateful.
I’ve seen the need for an outlet. I am not here to change who you are. I am here to help you continue the fight. And if who you are is changed in the process, I will be here to support you through that. Whatever your motivation was, you chose a career of dedicated service to others. That remains no easy task.
Other than first hand experience in the first responder community, I have taken the extra step in becoming a Certified First Responder Counselor.
