It is really important to me to build a relationship with my clients and develop a healthy, therapeutic alliance with them so we are working together to reach their goals. I believe each individual is unique and important and created to be just who they are, and it's important to be inclusive and meet the client where they are at in their walk. My goal is to help them be the healthiest, happiest version of themselves they can be.
I believe in a client centered approach. I most often use CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR when it is appropriate and can be helpful. I believe strongly in my clients developing healthy coping skills and enjoy introducing people to mindfulness practices to deal with anxiety, sobriety, and trauma responses.
I believe in this crazy world we have all been wounded in some way or another. So many people struggle to learn the healthy way to move passed those injuries and instead own them as beautiful scars proving we've survived.
