I currently have openings for new clients for in-person appointments. It's certainly not easy to keep all the "plates spinning" all the time, is it? We all get discouraged, distracted or thrown off track sometimes, especially when we have big changes happening. Counseling can help you learn new strategies to stay focused on what's important. I work with adults who experience depression, anxiety, relationship stress, and changes that come with age.
I generally start with an exploration of values, and I use coaching and mindfulness as tools in therapy. I tailor my approach to fit the client's needs and communication style, and sometimes assign homework. Most clients I work with develop insights and skills they can use on their own, and use counseling for only a few months.
I practice in a welcoming office and have a conversational style. I focus on your strengths and you are in the driver's seat in your care. I approach the counseling work with empathy, curiosity and genuine care.
