I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California. For me, therapy is about becoming the best version of yourself. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings with all age groups. My approach to therapy will always vary depending on each patient's individual needs however, I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy interventions. Early in my career, I had a supervisor who required me to read from the great Brene Brown.
A quote from that reading that I believe is foundational to my practice today is, “To love ourselves and support each other in the process of becoming real is perhaps the greatest single act of daring greatly."
As a therapist, I strive to assist my patients in embracing who they are. My goal is to explore with my patients what they would like to process in therapy and collaborate together to create a treatment plan for the duration of counseling.
