We seek help when our way of relating to ourselves and others is no longer working for us. It can be daunting to look outside of ourselves to gain an understanding of something so personal, but taking this step offers the opportunity to cultivate powerful tools for adaptation, self-regulation and productive relationships. The tools that I use come from Psychodynamic Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems Therapy. These therapeutic modalities speak to the mind, body and heart, respectively, offering a holistic path to transformational change.
Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems therapy are experiential and focused, but gentle, using awareness of what is happening in the body and mind to restore self-regulation, internal balance and presence. Psychodynamic work helps us to understand our early-life adaptations and contextualizes the new learning that experiential work brings.
I have experience working with clients in both intensive and outpatient settings treating trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addictions and mood disorders.
