Life transitions in relationships, career, and family, can overwhelm our typically competent ways of coping. I work with adults and adolescents on managing the anxiety, depression and other reactions to changes in their lives as they find a new understanding of themselves and build constructive, new coping skills.
Much of my practice is with couples who feel unable to resolve issues that repeatedly emerge between them. The goal of couples work is to empower the couple with the skills needed to resume the intimacy they once had and renew their confidence in resolving conflict without damage.
I have completed coursework for a Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work at the Clinical Social Work Institute in Chicago and have completed the advanced psychotherapy training program at the Washington School of Psychiatry. I am certified in the couples Imago Therapy model as well.
