Alexa’s integrated approach to therapy combines the brain and the body as a comprehensive strategy towards healing. She sees clients dealing with anxiety-related illnesses such as depression, bipolar, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, and eating disorders as well as those suffering from trauma, suicidal ideation, domestic violence, and relationship challenges. She utilizes many therapeutic techniques such as: Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, while emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and nutrition.
Alexa uses an investigative approach to her therapy. She has completed many master’s level courses in nutrition and anatomy and earned a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner’s License. She is also a member of the IOCDF and the American Association of Anxiety and Depression
Alexa was born and raised in Sun Valley. She is finishing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and completing her internship at Alpine Integrative Wellness. She is also a certified yoga teacher and coaches young athletes throughout the Wood River Valley in various disciplines. She loves anything active and outdoors.
