I currently have a short in-person waitlist (office is located in Cambridge, MA) and am not currently taking new telehealth clients - please email (rather than call) if you're interested in being added to the in-person waitlist. I work with adults, teenagers, and children around a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma. I have nine years of clinical experience, and three years of training through Harvard Medical School affiliates. My approach is relational, collaborative, and pragmatic. I specialize in (but don't limit myself to) the following areas:
1) Internal Family Systems (or IFS) therapy: IFS is an evidence-based, experiential approach (and is not family therapy, despite the name) that aims to shift how we relate to various parts of ourselves. This video offers a helpful introduction: tinyurl.com/AlexWheeler
2) IFS for OCD, anxiety, and/or perfectionism: IFS can be especially useful in addressing longstanding patterns of worry, obsessing, and anxiety. 3) Parent coaching around a range of issues, with a focus on strengthening relationships.
