Being autistic means existing in a sometimes perplexing and frustrating world that largely caters much more to the neurotypical brain. Over time this can manifest in a host of issues, ranging from depression and anxiety to social isolation and loneliness. The good news is that your brain possesses hidden strengths and abilities that can more than make up for these supposed deficits. To this end, I use creative approaches to draw these skills out and teach my clients how to apply their strengths in the areas where they are struggling.
I will employ an individualized and collaborative approach with you by exploring how you think about things and interact with your world, identifying together what is working and what is not. From there we can develop strategies and shift patterns of thinking in ways that allow you to get what you need out of life while remaining true to who you are.
Finding the right therapist for you or your teen is critical. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and/or to schedule a free 30 minute consultation by phone or Zoom to help us both determine if I am the best fit to guide you on your journey towards wellness. (Please note, email is the best way to make initial contact with me to set something up)
