As a relational therapist, I focus on supporting and witnessing clients in finding healing, connection, conflict resolution, and repair to ultimately build a life and relationships that honor their values and imagination. Therapy is an opportunity for liberation from dominant social narratives that don’t work for us as individuals or in our relationships, and I recognize the intergenerational and ongoing trauma of struggling against those dominant narratives. All relationships can benefit from this lens – whether they're romantic, platonic, brand new, long-term, with others, or with parts of yourself.
Therapy with me is an expansive, creative space we build together with curiosity, humor, and care. I hold unconditional, nonjudgmental support along with gentle challenging. My approach is informed by training in Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, and other relational frameworks. I am queer, sex-positive, fat-positive, and trauma-informed.
I feel that the key benefit of being in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client as one where clients can build communication skills, practice boundary-setting, look inward at the roots of their beliefs and feelings, and try out new things.
