In my work as a therapist, I support adults who want to develop a deeper understanding of their mind and what makes up their sense-of-self. This can be difficult, painful, and confusing. That is why I prioritize the relationship in therapy. We are relational beings, and many difficulties we experience need to be worked through within the context of a relationship. I will be curious about the parts of you that are unknown like unconscious patterns of thought,behavior, and experience. I will hold space for you as you share parts of you that might feel too ugly or imperfect in order to help you experience less shame and more wholeness.
In my approach to therapy, rather than adhering to one specific school of thought, I utilize an integrative approach that thoughtfully selects from multiple models: relational psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, systems theory, and neuroscience.
The goal of my practice is to support individuals impacted by adverse experiences gain a greater understanding about themselves and their environment and make the changes they want in their lives. I have experience working with adults and families on addressing relationship issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, violence or abuse.
