I am a licensed independent clinical social worker who specializes in working with youth and young adults. I have experience with trauma (including cPTSD), anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity formation. My style is warm, humanistic, and collaborative, and I believe in humor as a great tool for healing and connection. I also believe in bringing our authentic selves into the therapy room and love to incorporate hobbies and interests into treatment. As an example, I'm trained in therapeutically-applied roleplaying games (like Dungeons & Dragons).

In addition to more eclectic approaches, I have training in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing), and will occasionally incorporate aspects from DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) and IFS (internal family systems) if appropriate. Our work together can incorporate one of these or a combination of them.

Finding a therapist can feel daunting, and the fact that you are here is huge in and of itself. My ultimate hope for our work together is that you will find relief and begin living your life with confidence and hope. Whether you have been through a single, acute traumatic event or have endured a lifetime of trauma, you don't have to shoulder it alone.
