I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the greatest agent of change and healing, so as your therapist, it is my priority to create a warm and trusting environment in which you'll feel empowered to share your most authentic story. I find it is also my role to tailor the therapeutic journey to each individual client, incorporating play, humor, and creativity. Asking and receiving help is not always easy, but it is worth it. I'd be so happy to take the first steps with you! I utilized Person Centered and Attachment Theory approaches, incorporating other theories as I get to know you and your needs. I am also EMDR-trained.
I have experience working with individuals from pre-school through late 20's, where I've helped with topics such as complex trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, parenting, suicidal ideations and Non-Suicidal Self-Harm, interpersonal conflict, life transitions, identity development and body trust topics. I also utilize play interventions for younger clients.
I am committed to providing gender-affirming, culturally sensitive care to all my clients and families. It is also important to me to utilize a shame-free approach to parenting and family topics, as parenting is a demanding and important job that does not come with a handbook.
