Hi there, I'm Alanna! My name is Alanna Walker, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Currently, I provide telehealth services for clients in California. I also provided in-person and telehealth services for clients in Nevada. I am certified in dialectical behavioral therapy and domestic violence. I also have training in substance use disorder and addiction. The population I serve in practice ranges from children to adults. I have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.
I strive to encourage my clients to address the underlying issue, build their support system, identify unhealthy coping mechanisms, and explore healthier coping mechanisms to assist with reducing their symptoms.
My approach to goal setting is to set realistic and obtainable goals. I believe that it is important to work as a team with my client to identify their goals for therapy and develop a plan that fits their needs. Once the client's goals for treatment are set, I will encourage and support them to work towards obtaining their goals in treatment.
