As a former school counselor and domestic violence advocate, I am passionate about supporting individual, couple and adolescent needs as well as concerns with anxiety, depression, grief, domestic violence, sexual abuse or concerns and eating disorders. In addition to these needs I am looking forward to supporting those experiencing family conflicts, life changes, identity discovery and exploration as well as sex therapy. Using mindfulness, strengths, accountability, collaboration, creativeness, values work, personalized therapy practices, activities outside of the therapeutic session and goal setting approaches, I work to ensure that each client feels loved and supported regardless of age, gender, race, disabilities, culture and social status.
Creating a warm, welcoming and safe space for clients to truly be themselves and get the supports they need to be the best person they can be is imperative to my practice as a counselor. I understand the value in seeing who clients are as whole rather than just the roadblocks that are causing distress.
