Road to Licensure - California & Utah Prelicensees
The process and preparation in becoming a therapist can be both exciting and arduous. It's a long road from grad school to licensure, and along the way a myriad of emotions and concerns can emerge. This is a safe space to experience group process and self-discovery with clinical support. Some concerns addressed include: pressures of grad school; working in stressful situations; managing countertransference; navigating complex cases; clinical supervision issues; test anxiety for board exams. Groups are via Zoom on either Wednesdays or Fridays, and all trainees and associates based in California or Utah are welcome to join.

Teen Talk
Teen Talk is a therapy group to help teens who are feeling sad, withdrawn, anxious, stressed, experiencing academic problems, are dealing with life changes like a new school or divorce, or struggling with risky behaviors like drinking, drugs, and self-harm. Loneliness, isolation, hopelessness, or feeling misunderstood can lead to unhealthy or unsafe choices. This is a supportive space for teens to explore stressors, emotions, identity, and relationships in a safe and welcoming environment. We address: depression symptoms; social media stressors; conflicts with friends; peer pressure; family and relationship issues; school and college anxiety?; bullying; grief and loss; ADHD; perfectionism.

DBT Skills for Teens
Issues we address include anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, loss, anger, bullying, self-esteem, academic stress, problems at home, personal accountability, peer pressure, and topics that organically arise. Skill-building includes mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and strategies to reduce negative thinking or destructive behaviors. For clients seeking aftercare, this group reinforces DBT skills learned in PHP/IOP, including support for relapse prevention. - Learning to feel more empowered and confident -Identifying and challenging anxious thoughts -Managing social anxiety -Dealing with thoughts of self-harm -Understanding triggers -Reinforcing healthy coping skills -Identifying and working towards immediate and long-term goals
