Hello! I’m Alaina Garrity, a passionate and dedicated Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) with Transitions Counseling Services, Inc. It is my belief that by fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship, individuals can tap into their inner strengths and resilience to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I firmly believe in a person-centered and individualized approach, empowering clients to identify their unique needs and collaboratively curate a goal-driven treatment plan.
Drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, I prioritize an integrative approach that combines cognitive-behavioral therapy with other evidence-based practices. My experience includes working with kids, teens, adults and families who have faced anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions and interpersonal difficulties.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. I currently have availability for virtual telehealth appointments. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
