Brandon Adair is a licensed professional counselor who earned his master’s in clinical psychology from Alabama A&M University in Normal, AL. He has over twenty years in the inpatient / counseling field with his key focuses being in the areas of marriage and family counseling, addiction, anxiety, depression, daily stressors, PTSD, developing coping strategies, and men’s issues. Brandon’s therapy approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, solution focused, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology. I am a Sexual Recovery Therapist (SRT) with specialization in sexual addictions and couples/marriages. I also work extensively with teens struggling with sexual compulsivity issues. My clients learn to replace destructive behaviors and avoidance of intimacies through healthy and meaningful interactions. As a pastor for three decades, I also have a passionate desire to assist pastors and their spouses. Pastors face some unique challenges in maintaining sexual purity and having healthy marriages. I offer them a safe, confidential, and proven place to find solutions.

I have worked in the mental health field for 40+ years. During my career I have worked with a variety of patients including adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have treated trauma exposure, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, mild autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder (and related issues). I have also provided support for individuals in recovery. I believe that by identifying, focusing on, and enhancing clients' strengths, I can assist them in developing additional individualized tools to meet mental health challenges.

Although I enjoy working with a wide variety of people, I have developed a special interest in trauma, anxiety, borderline personality and LGBTQ+ issues. I have an extensive background in major mental illness including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety.

I believe in solution-based therapy and my goal is to work individually with each of my clients, helping them to discover and explore solutions to their problems and developing a new way of looking at them. I challenge each of my clients to explore their world in new ways of comprehension and to learn how to make better choices in their lives.
