I am a gender affirming therapist and practice trauma informed care. The most common thing I hear from clients when they come to me is, "I've tried it all." They have done the work and feel they have plateaued in some way. I'm here to intuitively guide and teach you new skills and perspectives to go deeper in your connection to self, others, and this life.

As we navigate through the journey of life, we all have the same goal of finding wholeness and joy. At times, our path may bring us to dark places, leading us to feel stuck and overwhelmed by the anxiety, trauma, and grief we are facing. It is my honor to walk beside you on this journey towards healing and growth. My approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration, and seeks to uncover your strengths as you move closer towards who you are meant to be. The Dallas Maryland Wellness Group, LLC is an organization that assists individuals, families, and groups with achieving personal balance employing the Six Dimensions of Wellness as the road map. We are the travel guides to personal exploration and discovery. Clients are encouraged to collect various souvenirs for use in life upon their return journey home. Clients may select as many, or as few, souvenirs along the journey. We suggest that Clients collect a few things that they want, and everything that they need. We all can see what we want, but experience difficulty identifying what we need. Let us assist you!

I am excited to be accepting new patients at my new practice. I offer clinical therapy to children, adolescents, their families and adults. I have a number of years of specialized clinical training, strong commitment to the advancement of my career, and offer therapeutic guidance & support to my clients. I work with women of all ages, children and teens. I specialize in treating emotional and physical trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. I also am very passionate about my work with children and families with issues related to adoption & attachment trauma/wounds.

Many of us wake up every day with feelings of the unknown- not knowing how we feel, what led us down this road, wondering how to deal with it and if we will be judged. We put on FACE daily to hide the depression, anxiety, loneliness and bottled up pain that we feel just so, we do not have to answer the uncomfortable question of, “What’s wrong”. Not realizing that not being honest with ourselves is making our emotional and psychological state worse. Faces Therapeutic and wellness was designed to assist you with peeling away your many faces so that complete emotional and psychological healing can take place.

Spiraling into negative thoughts is a daily struggle. Often, you feel yourself unraveling and the mask to which you cling to chips away little by little. You may have felt ok from time to time or just feel numb. You might feel overwhelmed with your other responsibilities or daily to-do list, or you might even forget what day of the week it is. This might be one of the hardest times for you because you know you need to get better but don't where to begin. The thought of self-care just feels exhausting, like a waste of time, or even a selfish desire.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and as a counselor, it's my passion to come alongside individuals who seek to deepen their self-awareness and cultivate healthier long-lasting relationships. A foundational belief I hold is that we are created for relationships, and those relationships can shape or break us. When relationships with friends, children & family are confusing and challenging, many feel isolated. You may judge yourself harshly instead of practicing self-compassion, leading to feelings of low self-esteem. In addition to meeting the needs of people struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and family conflict, members of the adoption triad will find a safe space here to explore their story and prepare to meet the unique needs that encompass adoption.

Welcome! I specialize in helping individuals process and alleviate feelings of anxiety, panic and depression, as well as offering insight to help understand your unique responses and attachments in the mind and body. You will have the ability to learn and practice mindfulness, CBT, archetypal psychology and somatic therapy in a comfortable environment. I incorporate meditative and yogic methods, encouraging internal regulation while rebuilding safety in self. Every person experiences blind spots in their narrative that can create challenges in life, so together we can illuminate a new path for expansive healing and personal growth!

I am here to help you overcome those difficulties and obstacles that occur in day to day living. I believe that with compassion and empathy I can help you achieve your goals. It can feel overwhelming and lonely when going through difficult times, but I am here to tell you that you are not alone. I will be there throughout your journey of self-exploration, achievements, and resolution of goals.

My goal is to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental, affirming environment where self-exploration, growth, and positive change can occur. I work with adolescents, adults, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, depression, and anxiety.

As a therapist who specializes in whole-person wellness, trauma recovery, & perinatal mental health, I enjoy working with women & men who have experienced anxiety, depression, major life transitions, and/or trauma. I am a certified clinical trauma specialist with advanced training in the area of sexual trauma. I am also a certified perinatal mental health specialist through Postpartum Support International, & I am especially passionate about birth trauma and navigating the perinatal journey as a survivor of previous trauma. I am a firm believer that we all make sense in the context of what we've walked through.
