I work with Adults and youth (+13) and thrive most when I am serving queer and trans communities and black and brown communities. My hope is to support folks process different struggles coming up in their lives. I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health therapy and I bring an afrocentric perspective into my work as a way to work towards decolonizing our minds and bodies in the way we think. I provide support around topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma, race, gender, sexuality, navigating relationships, navigating interpersonal conflicts, and life changes.
My therapeutic style is relational. At the end of the day, therapy starts off with building that therapeutic relationship. How can we dig deeper if that rapport and trust is not there? How can we get to the root of certain experiences if that rapport is not built up yet?
As a black non binary therapist, I value creating a space to be vulnerable: a space where you are seen as your authentic self, a space to be able to grow and heal on your life journey.
