Growing up as a biracial Latino, I struggled with navigating questions about racial identity, internalized racism, fitting in with different groups, and managing different sets of cultural expectations. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides individual therapy to adults age 18 and over. I am experienced in the treatment of addictions and mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders. I also provide therapy for a wide range of other issues such as stress, trauma, relationship, life transitions and emotional adjustment to health/medical issues and life events involving grief and loss. These distortions could be serious fissures and created by a single incident or they could be many minor chips created over years of toxic experience or chronic stress. Our views and the distortions in that lens inherently alter the way in which we interact with the world.
