I am so glad you’re here! My name is Aimee and being a therapist is one of my many labels. I am female, cisgender, queer, and neurodiverse. Because of my lived experiences, I deeply understand the need for therapists in the LGBTQIA+ communities. I am happy to fulfill a piece of that need by focusing my therapy practice on individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. This includes expansive gender identities and sexual orientations. Many clients I serve identify as Non-Binary, Trans, Bisexual, Asexual, Lesbian, and Polyamorous.
I am a hands-on therapist that believes therapy should be an equal relationship; I believe therapy is a team effort. I am interactive and direct, while being understanding, empathetic, and caring. In every session, with every client, I work to meet individuals where they are in their journey, and help to create pragmatic solutions.
My therapeutic interventions are an eclectic blend of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, psychodynamic, solution-focused, using strength-based techniques. I strive to be culturally sensitive, multiculturally informed, and culturally competent. I bring my personality to my sessions along with my pursuit of social justice.
