I am a licensed clinical psychologist with robust experience working in community, residential and medical settings. I work predominately from a relational model that utilizes an intersectional feminist lens to situate people’s lived experiences. People can have multiple identities and belief systems that deserve recognition. Leveraging these nuances can empower patients to utilize coping strategies and frameworks that serve to better sustain their wellbeing. Whether it is seeking out specific solutions or making meaning of an event, I strive to work collaboratively alongside patients in their healing journey
I have completed specialty training in health psychology, which focuses on psychosocial and adaptive functioning related to medical diagnoses, injuries, and chronic health conditions. Some common presenting concerns I have addressed have included adjustment worries or shifts in mood. This can also include couple’s therapy or addressing sex and intimacy.
I also have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ Community. I recognize the importance of understanding the historical, sociopolitical context to de-pathologizing sexual and gender identity differences. From coming out to navigating trans/gender expansive care, I enjoy walking alongside folks in moving towards living authentically.
