As a 3rd generation social services worker, I often joke that I was born into this field. I cannot imagine myself in any other profession. This is all I have ever wanted to do. With that being said, I was also born into a society that often refuses to accept the necessity for therapy. Especially for men and people of color. Part of my aim as a clinician is to dispel some of the bias towards seeking help for mental health issues. If you had an injured limb, you would seek out help. If you had contracted a virus, you would seek out help. Why should seeking out help for emotional and mental illness be any different? It should not!

I consider it a privilege to work with people who are motivated to change. Whether it’s feeling less anxious or depressed, improving an important relationship or learning to better control intense emotions, I am willing to join you in doing the hard work of change. Though the process is often simple, it’s rarely easy. The alternative option of staying the same, however, is usually much more difficult in the long run. Deb assists clients in assessing and developing strengths to empower positive and healthy decisions. Deb received both a BA and an MA from Northern Illinois University. She has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Deb also has a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community and is attune to the obstacles that individuals of this community may face.

My name is Kynnedi Tripplett, LCSW. My therapeutic style is open-minded, empathetic, and laid back. Mistie Drews is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2016. Mistie strives to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to provide therapy. She specializes in addictions and trauma. Mistie also has experience with family and couples and individual therapy. CBT and DBT are methods she has used. In her spare time, Mistie enjoys being near any body of water. She believes in good self-care as therapists for our own mental health. A sense of humor is so important!
