I value opportunities to connect with my clients in unique and creative ways through humor, a love of animals, art, and connecting with nature. Through art, writing, and creative outlets I believe we can heal, and work towards integrating the broken parts of self. My approach to the therapeutic process is collaborative and goal-driven. I see my role in clients' lives as one that is temporary; my goal is to equip you with the tools, insights, and renewed hope that will allow you to move forward without need for my help.
My therapy style is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, my areas of focus include treatment of; trauma, anxiety, and depression. In particular, I am versed in supporting clients to work through religious trauma, generational/ family traumas, and process challenges associated with identity formation and breaking cycles of abuse.
I believe in the innate capabilities of my clients; through positive and negative life experiences we develop awareness and resiliency that can at times be challenging to tap into. During the process of therapy, I support clients in finding those strengths to cope with obstacles as well as re-create a life that better represents their true selves.
