I believe that when a person feels safe, seen, and connected, change can occur. It is an honor to sit with a child or teen in their most vulnerable moments and provide the feeling of “you are seen, you are safe here.” I am trained to help children and teens grow in connection to self, emotional regulation, and adaptive coping skills. I also understand parents' challenges and believe they deserve to feel connected, seen, and heard. I don’t believe there is such a thing as a “perfect parent,” but I also know that we don’t always feel like we know what to do when our child is struggling.
I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, divorce, and grief and loss. My therapy style is primarily relational, including person-centered and attachment-based approaches. I am trained in evidence-based interventions, including play-based, expressive arts, mindfulness, sand tray therapy, and EMDR for ages five and up.
I am part of Brentwood Counseling Associates and I practice in their Maryland Farms office.
