I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a treatment effective for depression and anxiety. I am also trained in EMDR, a treatment for people with history of trauma and memories that interfere with functioning. I also utilize mindfulness techniques for stress management and am trained in solution focused brief therapy.
I believe that we can benefit from balancing our focus on improving what is not working, with affirming what is going well. Indeed, part of the benefit of psychotherapy is the perspective shift that occurs when we are able to see our life and ourselves in a different light.
