I have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD/ADD, and more.
Hello! I am a licensed therapist with 6+ years of experience working with mental health and addiction recovery for older teens and adults. I believe that healing past wounds creates new foundations for growth. I prioritize progress over perfection and I believe direction is more important than speed. If you find that you have a difficult time with perfectionism, control, verbalizing your emotions or needs, vulnerability, relaxation without guilt, high expectations/pressure, and making connections with other people then I might be a good fit to walk with you through your journey.

I have experience working with individuals struggling with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and ADHD.
You feel like you’re trapped in a maze of emotions. You’re constantly being pulled between moments of intense distress and moments of numb detachment. Fear, anger, and sadness keep you from feeling any sense of stability or peace. You’re struggling to trust others and nothing feels safe. You’re feeling exhausted and isolated and it’s time for a change. You want to get through your day without being constantly on edge, waiting for the next intrusive thought to appear. You’d like to enjoy life without constant worry or fear. You think it would also feel wonderful to achieve a sense of inner peace. I can help you get there.

Whether you need support with managing neurodevelopmental conditions (autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc.
Do you feel lost, as if others have some sort of cheat code to life that no one passed to you? Maybe you've always felt different than most, leaving you to question your identity and intuition. I've been there and even continue to do the work that allows me to feel grounded in my identity, and befriend my authentic self. At 31, all my quirky traits and unpopular opinions finally made sense, once I learned about and embraced my neurodivergent brain. There is no specific blueprint on who to be or how to live. We all have varying identities that make life exciting, challenging, and rewarding.

I have advanced knowledge in supporting adults who have experienced trauma throughout their lives and those who have symptoms of, or a diagnosis of ADHD.
Embracing our unique life experiences enriches our perspective and fosters growth. It's through this understanding that we can cultivate resilience, discover new coping mechanisms, and lead an intentional and purposeful life. Each challenge we overcome teaches us more about ourselves and the world, guiding us towards a more grace filled life. My approach supports clients motivated to change and engage in personal growth, empowers them to uncover and understand their core beliefs and emotions, and cultivates confidence to live their life as their authentic self.

I have extensive experience in supporting children and teens (as well as their parents/guardians) who are experiencing life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and depression.
I believe that we all are doing the best we can with the tools we have at the time. Through self-compassion, reduced negative thinking, and increased awareness of our own needs/feelings, positive growth can occur for you or your child. This also supports an improved relationship with ourselves which results in happier relationships with others. When you enter my counseling space it is my goal for you or your child to feel accepted, safe, and heard. As a parent myself, I am also passionate about helping you connect with your child in a more positive way.

Ladies, do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, unorganized, forgetful, struggle to finish tasks, and manage your emotions? Everything feels like a chore. You can barely keep your head above water and blame yourself. Could you secretly have ADHD? Women are receiving later-in-life ADHD diagnoses at unprecedented numbers. It's a myth when they say ADHD is over diagnosed. ADHD in women is often missed due to lack of education in the healthcare system, societal myths, and masking symptoms unknowingly. My clients usually believe they only have anxiety and depression symptoms. I work with diagnosed and undiagnosed women with ADHD.

You’re motivated, emotionally intelligent, and highly self-aware, but OCD, ADHD, Trauma and big emotions stop you from thriving. And you’re sick of it. You want to go through your day without intrusive thoughts getting in the way. You want to break cycles and heal from you and your family’s pasts. You want to create new systems that work for you. You want to find connection, and grow, and flourish. Treating OCD and Trauma requires supportive guidance. The difficulties of ADHD don't get enough respect. And let's be honest, rarely are we taught how to tolerate or regulate our emotions.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
