I specialize in working with military spouses and women who are going through challenges within their relationships, have low self-esteem, and may be feeling anxiety (insomnia, thinking too much) and depression (not enjoying the things you use to) . Life can be hard and I am here to help you through it. Parenting, relationships, moving, changing jobs, moving to a new city are all hard and can be difficult. I get it. The feelings that come with all of that can be difficult to navigate by yourself. I can help you work through these changes that you are going through.
I like to use traditional talk therapy with my clients to help them gain insight into "why" they are feeling the way they are. In session, I may challenge your thoughts and help you to reframe your thinking, I like to utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to help you in therapy.
Coming to therapy the first time or even if it's your twentyieth time can be daunting. I will try to make you feel comfortable during your first session with me. There may be some humor and laughter, I am not a one size-fits all type of therapist. I want to make sure that as a therapist I am a good fit for you!
