I enjoy working with clients who demonstrate motivation, whether or not they have already defined their goals for therapy. With training in counseling and behavioral medicine, I welcome individuals from late adolescence through adulthood, especially those wishing to discuss cultural--including LGBTQ+--identities, chronic illness, anxiety, ADHD, and parenting concerns. I realize that people have different feelings about mental health for legitimate reasons. I invite you to explore those concerns with me in a supportive environment, free from judgment. Coming from a Multicultural lens, I recognize that you are the expert of your life.
I'm a therapist who both listens and engages, often presenting challenges to consider perspectives outside your comfort zone, while greatly emphasizing collaboration with you. I use various approaches to help you manage and overcome short and long term obstacles, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among others.
My aim is for you to realize from the moment you enter my office that you are in a safe, non-judgmental space in which you will be treated with respect in all aspects of the therapeutic relationship, from using your chosen pronouns to seeing you as a whole person beyond any label you may have been given.
