Hello, I have practiced as a Clinical Psychologist for the past 20 years. I have extensive training and experience working with senior citizens who experience depression, anxiety, physical health issues, and grief/loss. My other specialty area is working with active duty service members of all branches and military veterans.
I've treated hundreds of service members with combat stress issues (including PTSD and TBI) who suffer from sleep issues, irritability, anxiety, depression and interpersonal difficulties. I realize how difficult it can be to discuss traumatic events and explore issues at a pace that is not overwhelming for the client.
My approach to therapy is to provide a non-judgmental, empathetic and supportive environment where the client can discuss issues and work towards his or her treatment goals. Treatment is tailored to the individual and can include cognitive-behavioral and/or insight oriented approaches.
