I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio. I obtained my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College in Illinois. I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings such as intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs, a halfway house for males with substance abuse related charges, an undergraduate counseling center, and private practice. I have experience working in the areas of depression, developmental trauma, spirituality, addiction, sexually compulsive behavior, grief and loss, and anxiety.
I believe in a relational style of therapy and deeply value creating an environment where you feel safe to bring your authentic self to sessions. I am honored to step into your story. I draw on several different theoretical orientations in my work as a counselor. I will tailor treatment to your needs and will consider all potential paths of healing.
A key aspect of therapy is having an open dialogue between counselor and client that encourages authenticity. Having attended counseling myself, I believe that it is vital counselors do their own healing before attempting to help others. I will continue to prioritize my own mental health and personal growth.
