Hello! My name is Dr. Abey Muthoni, and I am so thrilled for the opportunity to get to know you and be part of your life journey! I was born and raised in Kenya, and have lived in the U.S. for 20 years. I earned my doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), and I am a licensed psychologist in Virginia. My treatment approach is integrative, with primary roots in relational-cultural, person-centered, and narrative therapy approaches.
In your first session with me, you will be welcomed with a warm smile and an affirming atmosphere. In the first session, I like to take the time to get to know you, and ways that I can support you in this season of your life. During our first session, we will also discuss ways that we can collaborate to work towards your goals.
