I want you to feel heard and safe. Some things that make us human are our complex, safety-focused, and connection-centered, brains. Regardless of our similarities, we all still navigate challenges uniquely. How we approach our stories impacts how we see ourselves and the world around us. Challenges in this world are certain; this may leave us feeling scared, overwhelmed, or depressed. These difficult experiences can lead to isolation, stuckness, panic, and other uncomfortable feelings. Rather than battle it out in your relationships, or on your own, I work from a headspace of inspiring hope and seeking peace within.
We create relationships around us and within. We can nurture these relationships through compassion to foster understanding and security. I use a variety of approaches, to address your goals with validation, and educational opportunities. To incorporate normalizing, I bring my own experience with mental disorders to the therapy room.
I offer a curious, playful, warm, and trauma-informed approach to address a variety of diagnoses, and human experiences, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma sensitivities, emotional immaturity, relationship issues, and, more. Groups
Creating Compassionate Communication
Join us on Friday’s after school this winter for gatherings centered on learning how to create compassionate communication in relationships. This event is open for all high school students and couples aged 16-18. Discussion will centere around communication, the complexities of teenage relationships, and trust. You do not need to come as a couple. If you want to learn how to have a healthy relationship, this group is for you! Register on our website at larchcounseling.com/registration by the 10th of February. The group will meet weekly from February 11th to March 18th.
