Everyone’s journey to wellness and change is unique and meaningful. As a therapist, I empower my clients by helping them identify their strengths and points of weakness to create change to help them live a fulfilling life and create a treatment plan to help them achieve their individual goals. I work to create a warm and inviting environment where my clients feel comfortable talking with me. Taking the first step to get help is not always easy, and I feel that it is important to build a trusting relationship with my clients. I use an empathetic approach and work to identify manageable steps that can be taken to achieve these goals.
I graduated with my master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Concordia University, Wisconsin. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention, Prolonged Exposure, and Behavioral Activation. I am a trained CBT therapist and incorporate mindfulness, family systems theory, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in my practice, among others.
I enjoy working with children and adolescents, adults, families and couples. I believe that providing my clients and their families with psychoeducation regarding diagnoses and treatment interventions is extremely beneficial. I have experience working in hospitals, residential and partial hospitalization day treatment programs.
