Greetings! In providing care, I think it is necessary to look at our whole selves, including our thoughts, feelings, social connections, herstories and histories, our fears and our dreams, as a path is charted to joy and fulfillment. I have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly from BIPOC and LGBT+ communities. I specialize in supporting teens and adults in better understanding and treating their anxiety, depression, and trauma, amongst other concerns. It is my goal to help clients gain greater control, stability, and overall flow to live the best life possible.
I use a holistic approach drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help in identifying and defining current concerns and developing personalized plans to resolve them. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is helpful in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and depression.
In my 15+ years in mental health care, I've learned that the best care is always person-centered and treatment must always be collaborative.
