My ideal client is motivated to work on themselves both inside and outside of session. I enjoy working with people of different socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, ages, and I am a LGBTQ and POC ally. I work with people who are going through significant life changes, feeling stuck, stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem problems, trauma/abuse, and I have helped people handle psychosis, bipolar symptoms, employment related issues, health concerns, caregiver stress, family/friend conflicts, and dating challenges. I also enjoy working with people who are high functioning and want to achieve a higher potential and increase happiness.
I adapt my modality of treatment depending on what would best suit the client's mental health and I encourage a holistic approach in therapy. I specialize in trauma and enjoy doing psychodynamic treatment, exploring childhood & family dynamics, and I use evidence based treatments such as EDMR, CBT to name a few. Improved communication is central to our work.
It's normal for people to need support outside of their social/family groups and it's my goal to create a safe space where you can open up and feel understood. All feelings are valid and exploring them and what to do next is often processed and realized in treatment. Finding support is a challenging step and I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
