In my experience, I have been the most helpful in therapy when I have worked with clients suffering with anxiety, trauma, and depression. If you are suffering with anxiety, trauma, and/or depression, you have probably experienced your suffering affecting many different parts of your life, which may include, how you treat and feel about yourself, how well you are doing your job, and how you treat people that you love. Our therapy together can help you cope more effectively with difficult emotions, help you treat yourself better, feel better about yourself, and treat the people that you love in the way that you want to.
I specialize in compassion-focused therapy. In therapy, I help clients increase compassion for themselves to help stop self-criticism, increase feeling safe enough to allow themselves to talk about and process their painful experiences, and to use their self-compassion to live their life in a way that is meaningful to them, and that makes them happy.
Through my experience as a therapist with clients, I know that it is hard to be struggling with your mental and emotional health. However, I have also experienced and seen clients recover from and overcome these struggles by having self-compassion.
