*Full and not taking clients at this time*Welcome! I am a licensed mental health counselor. My practice area of focus is on women and caregivers. Issues I work with include life transitions, relationship dynamics, parenting, pregnancy and postpartum. I often work with caregivers and individuals who may identify with patterns of being emotionally sensitive and highly attuned to others. Clients who come to me are motivated to learn more about themselves and to notice repeating patterns and dynamics in their life. The therapy frameworks I turn to most often include psychodynamic, existential and mindfulness approaches.

Please note: I am currently full. I accept individual adult clients only. I have been practicing as a psychologist in the Greater Seattle Area for over 30 years. My clients find me to be a kind, caring professional who is concerned about their needs. I take a complete history in the first one to two sessions to obtain a full picture of the client. I consider not only a client's symptoms, but also their overall health, self-care, relationships with family members and significant others, roles and tasks, strength of social support, and financial stresses.

Trauma impacts every area of our lives, often leaving us overwhelmed and exhausted in our attempt to restore what has been lost. Healing begins when we lean into the hurt; engaging our body, and patiently remaining in the spaces within us that need comfort, understanding, and care. In our sessions, we will work together to create containment for the present, healing for the past, and hope for the future. This means developing the skills and tools needed to begin processing what has created the fear, hurt, anger, and sadness in your life, and cultivate in it's place hope, wholeness, peace, and healing.

Childhood is a sacred time yet our children are facing many challenges and choices as they try to navigate growing into the best and healthiest version of themselves. I provide support and a safe place for parents to be real about their hopes and fears and work with children in a way that celebrates their strengths. In our sessions together I will bring over 25 yrs of experience as a counselor serving children and families (outpatient & in schools) and 23 yrs of learning and personal growth raising two children. I have hand-picked each item in my therapy office to help meet the needs of my clients.

I am passionate about helping individuals gain insight into the way they perceive and interact with their world. My hope is that through this self-awareness, my clients feel more empowered to face the challenging demands of their lives. As a first generation Asian-American, I can relate to the challenges that many clients face when having to navigate a new set of rules and culture. My passion includes helping clients define their identities, cope with physical, emotional and psychological changes, and adjust to the demands of peers, school, and society.
