I bring a strong attachment focus to my work, and I believe the relationship we create together has immense potential for healing.
I believe that often, our deepest experiences of harm and trauma take place within relationships, and the ways that others relate to us has an enormous impact on the ways we learn to relate to ourselves. My work with clients often centers around exploring and integrating past experiences of harm, and through this, inviting clients to new ways of relating to themselves in the present. I am passionate about helping clients grow in self-awareness, courage, and self-compassion.

I see all types of couples: for marriage preparation, struggling with relationship issues/conflict or those hoping to connect on a deeper level.
My training is in systems therapy, which examines the many facets of our lives interact. In therapy, we often look at how surrounding relationships and past experiences effect our current beliefs and values. If emotions and mood are difficult to manage, or there is difficulty adjusting to developmental and life stage changes, I offer support and tools to work through this. These challenges often arise for young adults, new mothers, managing intimate relationships and employment transitions. Too often, grief and loss bring up painful struggles for individuals and families. Therapy can be helpful in these most challenging times.

Some of my interests include navigating life transitions, exploring identity and purpose, relationship issues/dating, processing grief/loss, challenging and undoing perfectionism, and managing anxiety.
Certain phases of life can leave us feeling directionless or uncertain about who we are and what is next. While these time periods are difficult to navigate, they can be times of deep transformation. As your therapist, I will support you in developing curiosity and clarity around your decisions, your relationships, and your internal experience. From a place of collaboration and warmth, I will work with you to navigate life’s obstacles, meet your challenges, and take steps towards becoming your most authentic self.

I have personal experience working with those experiencing depression, ADHD, anxiety, relationship issues, and PTSD.
We all experience struggles in life. I believe sometimes we just need a bit of help to overcome them. I am an authentic strength-based and solution-focused counselor who aims to assist my clients in them using strengths to find solutions and overcome whatever those struggles may be. I value staying open-minded, warm, authentic, and honest with my clients. I want to give you space to express yourself and feel safe. I see the world in "grey” not black and white. When facing challenges I believe there are many paths to improvement. As your counselor, I aim to help and empower you to explore them so you can move toward a better place.

I have worked in treatment settings such as non-profit organizations, working with sexual assault survivors, as well as in outpatient settings, providing teletherapy services for concerns such as social anxiety, adjustment, relationship distress, self-esteem, and trauma/PTSD.
As a clinician, I believe that it takes a lot of strength to take the initial step towards opening yourself and beginning to heal from things that have felt overwhelming. I feel that it is a privilege to be a part of my clients’ healing journey through life’s challenges, and I work to create a safe space for you to be heard, supported, and understood. I believe that finding the right provider is an essential part of successful therapy. I am an Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
