When you are struggling individually or in your relationships, it can be hard to know where to begin, and harder at times to believe that getting what you need is even possible. You may have feelings you don't understand, experiences that you are trying to make sense of, or patterns that you feel stuck in. Your experiences and feelings are worthy of our curiosity and consideration. Through our conversations together, the therapy process can help us get to know you better, and open up possibilities for deepening understanding, compassion, connection, and resilience in your life.

I embrace diversity and individuality. As a multiethnic and multiracial woman, I am passionate about honoring your unique identity and story. Life and work stressors, multicultural and race issues, women's issues, shame, guilt, self-esteem, identity, emotional regulation, grief, and creativity, may be areas you want support navigating. We will co-create together the course of our work, based on what is meaningful to you. I offer a warm, compassionate space for you to explore your multidimensionality and gain insight, empowerment, creativity, and expansion, drawing on your innate resilience and capacity to heal and thrive.

As time moves faster and to-do lists grow longer, it's no wonder so many of us struggle to take care of ourselves. Therapy with me involves slowing down and finding the right language to describe experiences you may not have had time to process. What a difference it makes to aim to trust versus love yourself, or to describe yourself as a pessimist versus a broken-hearted optimist.

Hi, I'm Marjorie. I provide collaborative, relational therapy to children, teens and adults. I believe in the power of healing through relationships. Through sitting, talking or playing together, I will support you to explore what is underneath and creatively uncover ways to move through, heal, and grow. I provide space to uncover and hold the multiple parts of yourself and your identities within the context of the world we live in. I prioritize exploring the ways systemic stress, harm, and trauma impact those with marginalized identities.

I am in awe of the function of human beings as story-tellers and meaning-makers. The meaning you make from your experience is important and valuable. Sometimes the meaning made from an experience can be a barrier; to intimacy, to growth, to happiness. Undergoing psychotherapy can be a highly rewarding and beneficial process to explore yourself. Therapy is taking a moment to step out of the role of ‘doing’ in order to just ‘be’ so to reflect on your current life, especially as it is informed by the past. Encouraging self-awareness and, in particular, self-acceptance, are ongoing goals that are the cornerstones of the work I do.
