We each have different values and experiences in our lives, that can shape the people we become and the quality of living we experience. In times of struggle, we may feel lost and lonely as we attempt to live more authentically and with greater joy. Together, we can explore and deepen your own understanding and relationship you have with yourself and others to better navigate through and experience a balanced and healthy living. My goal is to provide a safe and secure environment to support personal growth, deepen insight, increase perspective and give space for self-compassion and acceptance.

I enjoy helping others by empowering and supporting them through their journey in life. It is inspirational to see how resilient and strong humans can be when faced with adversity. I believe that events shape us but the actions we take each day define who we are. I specialized in child and adolescent mental health. Most of my experience is with depression, anxiety, substance usage, family relationship, and trauma.

If you want to work on your relationship, but your partner doesn't want to do couples therapy, you've come to the right place. While many therapists will work with both of you as a pair, I'm a therapist who does individual relationship work with women. I'm here for you if you're wanting to repair your relationship, but find yourself doing that work alone without your partner's support. I don't want you to suffer and feel stuck just because your partner isn't ready to do therapy with you. You may wonder if talking about your relationship issues on your own without your partner will actually help and it absolutely can.

I aim to provide a collaborative relationship with my clients that's rooted in an unconditional positive regard.
I am currently accepting new clients, however I am prioritizing limited availability to specific clients. While gender and gender identities are constant themes in the transgender community, I am currently prioritizing working with transgender clients who have been actively transitioning for a number of years, and are engaged and connected with the transgender community. I am looking to work with first generation American transgender clients, indigenous and/or transgender people of color, and transgender teens.

My approach to therapy is relational, psychodynamic and humanistic. I view the counseling process as a collaborative and empathic relationship of communication, investigation, exploration, reflection and insight. I believe it is the therapeutic relationship itself that is most important in creating the conditions for the deep exploratory work of psychotherapy, and discovering the possibility of self transformation.

I view our deepest relationship struggles as a necessary way to bring us to the places we most need to grow.
Therapies that focus on brain change, heal symptoms more rapidly and get to the deepest part of the issue. I work from a positive perspective that is both challenging and supportive simultaneously. Some people come to me to grow in areas of peak performance and others come to break free from the gridlock they experience in their significant relationships. Many people are stuck in a depressive or anxious cycle that doesn't allow them to be authentic in how they engage the world. I have been a therapist for over 20 years and I love it.

It requires an authentic, safe space to work toward personal goals by breaking old patterns of acting and reacting in relationships, enhancing self-esteem, setting healthy relationship expectations, being in-charge of emotions—hard work that can lead to living well and more fully each day.
Why go to therapy? You might seek therapy when experiencing emotional pain or stress, even confusion about a situation or about yourself. Life challenges can pile up and seem overwhelming. Worry can interfere with relationships, work, and sleep. One goal of therapy is to relieve stress and every session should offer greater understanding of issues and relief in some way. Maybe you feel all alone with your concerns—it’s normal to feel that way. Therapy offers a place of understanding and acceptance, a place to be heard, and for you to feel safe with all of your feelings and thoughts, even those that you feel no one else has.

I work with women experiencing issues including: sexuality, sexual shame, relationship concerns, embodiment, spiritual trauma, and women's issues.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has a heart for empowering women to live joyfully inside their bodies through liberation-work and self-compassion. I approach therapy from a systemic, person-centered, feminist, sex-positive, and HAES lens that's rooted in social justice. I understand the ways that oppression and trauma influence how we connect with our bodies and I view coping mechanisms as survival strategies that develop in response to our experiences. I believe there is wisdom in our coping and I enjoy helping clients compassionately attune to their body’s needs and connect to their intuition.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
