I have been a licensed counselor since 1998. Areas of experience include working with children, adolescents and adults focusing on rebuilding and/or developing the ability to navigate life's challenges. I believe that all human beings are spiritual, biological and emotional and that healing comes from balancing these aspects of self. I use traditional talk therapies such as Contextual Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also have pursued certification programs in Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programing, Professional Life Coaching and Neurobiofeedback as well as other continuing education courses required by NBCC and Oregon.

Accepting New Clients. Live life intentionally. This is how most of us want to live our lives, with energy and purpose, spending our time doing those things that bring us joy and meaning, pursuing our dreams, aspiring to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. Often, difficult thoughts and feelings get in the way of being the person we want to be for ourselves, for our loved ones, and sabotaging our vision of the life we’ve always dreamt of living. We get stuck. And in that inertia, it can be easy to lose contact with the things that matter the most to us in our lives.

We are only accepting clients for individual therapy at this time. Have you ever looked in the mirror and asked, "Who am I?" or "How did I get here?" Maybe you've thought, "I’m not okay," even though others say you're fine. Do you question your spiritual or religious beliefs, or even doubt them? Do you often feel sad, anxious, or frustrated with yourself and your relationships? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you’re not alone. Together, we can explore your feelings and find the answers you need to bring more peace, clarity, and balance into your life and relationships.

We are the expert on ourselves. We know what we are struggling with, what we need, and how we want to get there, but it can be difficult to uncover that knowledge on your own. I am here to provide a safe, welcoming, and respectful space where you can explore and uncover that knowledge. This is a space where your body, identity, thoughts, and story can be openly seen without shame. I am passionate about treating disordered eating and eating disorders and supporting young women and people through life transitions and navigating the difficult choices that happen at critical periods of time and development.

Hello. Many people seek a therapist when they’re feeling stuck, are in the middle of a change, want to challenge their growth edge, or feeling alone or disconnected. Internal and external dynamics contribute to a sense of discomfort and innumerable signs and symptoms, which are meant to catch our attention. My approach to therapy is to support and guide you to listen deeply to the meaning of those experiences, increase your sense of connection to yourself and others, and build practices that strengthen your willingness and ability to access ease, connection, and compassion.

The heaviness of walking through this life can get to be too much to bear sometimes. Working 40+ hours per week, raising kids, tending to relationships, cooking healthy foods, making sure you get enough exercise, etc., etc. It's a lot. It's easy for things to get off track. To feel exhausted down to your very bones. And when it is time to rest, it's hard to shut off the spinning thoughts about the future, money, climate change, health issues, past wounds....you name it. No matter your particular unique journey, life can be filled with challenges.

You deserve to feel heard and accepted. My goal is to help you experience a greater sense of well-being and contentment in your life. What I enjoy most about counseling is having the privilege of sharing authentic connections with people who want to feel better and see their lives improved. I work with individual adults and have a special interest in helping women who are in life transition. Many clients come to me seeking help for grief and loss, depression, anxiety, issues with adult children, family cutoffs, trauma, early attachment and self-esteem issues, and more.

My ideal client is someone who is willing to work, at whatever level that may be for them. It is important to celebrate and build on small successes. Change can be scary. The idea of therapy can be terrifying for some, and a relief for others. If you are reading through this, it means you are likely searching for something. I believe that in therapy a space is created to help you to work on your goals in an environment that is supportive and safe. While therapy is not an end all, it helps you to discover more about yourself and the interactions you have in your daily life. Therapy is what you make it.

I strive to understanding my clients and their life as a web of interrelated parts. I find that it is most beneficial to my clients when we collaborate through an open and down-to-earth relationship, using my expertise and the client's desire for change and healing. My style is accepting, nurturing and educational. My level of directness depends on what my clients prefer. I ask for feedback on a regular basis to assure that my approaches work for my clients and that we are progressing in the right direction.

Everyday we make choices from the very mundane like what we have for breakfast or which shirt to wear, to the life changing like taking a new job, getting married, or moving somewhere you've never been. However easily these questions (and others) may be answered by some, there are many who have difficulty because the answers are not always so clear. Counseling can help in these moments of uncertainty. Whether it is a few hours of voicing your concerns or several months of assistance, a counselor can help you tackle life challenges more easily.
