My intention is to provide a supportive and attuned therapeutic relationship that invites you to safely explore your experience in life with curiosity, kindness and acceptance. You might be aware of a specific issue you'd like to work on, or perhaps you are impacted by a more general perception of yourself as somehow flawed, inadequate, unworthy, unloved, or like you just don't belong. I focus on helping people in these areas as well as problems related to depression, anxiety, attachment/relationship issues, self-esteem, shame, LGBTQ+ issues. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach to counseling.

Accepting new clients! The loss of a close friend recently reminded me that tomorrow is not promised. A blunt reminder that being present and in the moment is all that we truly have. Many of us wrestle with events of the past and fear about tomorrow and in the meanwhile, we forget that we have, in present time, the ability to grab hold of the moment we are in with everything we have and make it truly and wonderfully ours. We get a say in what that moment will be: happy, sad, angry, tormented, funny, quiet, loud. I specialize in midlife support: life transitions, mental health & menopause, but welcome all adults.

I think of counseling as a journey. Maybe you're not sure what the next steps are to get where you want to go. Perhaps you are feeling a lost, stuck, or unsure of what peak to journey to next. Maybe you've lost reception completely and need help syncing GPS to even find where you are! That's where I come in. As a therapist, I see my role as journeying alongside you on your unique path of self-exploration. I have a backpack of supplies and tools for us to get there but ultimately, it is your journey that we will be on.

Sometimes, as humans, we get wounded in ways that are so deep, they are difficult to name. Perhaps you have lost loved ones along the way, or can't find meaning in your story. Have you ever inventoried your life to discover that it is not what you want it to be? Do you feel haunted by memories? Maybe you engage in self-destructive or numbing behaviors that you wish you could change, but find that making those changes is easier said than done. My goal is to create a trustworthy space where we can work through whatever it is you bring in, on your search for healing, fulfillment, and wholeness.

Everyone has a different path in therapy. No matter what issues you are struggling with, it is possible to find peace and achieve a more meaningful life. Some of the things I enjoy working with include: childhood trauma, attachment issues, OCD, PTSD, men's issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, divorce, parenting, grief and loss, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.

Our group practice was founded with shared passion for helping folks who have experienced trauma and/or difficult childhood experiences to heal, reconnect to a sense of safety within themselves, and find the freedom to pursue a meaningful life without being stuck in the past. We are also interested and passionate about helping folks navigate trauma, OCD, anxiety disorders, and attachment difficulties that often show up in our closest relationships.

Not accepting new clients
Updated August 2024: FULL, unable to accept new clients. Healing from the impacts of trauma, navigating long-term mental health struggles, and adjusting to major life events can be incredibly isolating experiences. It’s important to me to provide folks with a space to feel safe, accepted, and free to embark on their own healing journey. My goal is to help clients reestablish a safe connection to their mind and body, live in the present moment, and feel empowered to pursue the things most meaningful to them. I have experience working with folks across the lifespan and also particularly enjoy working with teens and young adults.
