I employ an eclectic approach based on existential counseling theory, which seeks to help clients explore how the human condition impacts daily life; cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which seeks to help clients explore how thoughts impact feelings and actions; and family systems theory, which helps couples and families explore and improve relationships.
All people seek happiness and wish to avoid suffering and that all people have the right to pursue joy and freedom from pain. I believe that all people are capable of bringing constructive change into their lives, whatever their present circumstances. I view my job as providing a welcoming, supportive, safe, socially just, and competent space in which positive change can occur.

My approach is based on respect and compassion, while drawing on tools of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, family systems, adolescent development and other evidence-based practices.
As an experienced adolescent therapist, I am passionate about helping teens and young adults figure out who they are, who they want to be, and the barriers keeping them from realizing these goals. I have assisted hundreds of adolescents through academic challenges, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, substance use, ADHD, traumatic experiences, social anxiety and divorce. We work together to develop healthy ways to manage our emotional life, identify strengths which can support self-confidence and motivation, and learn to trust we are worthy of the love and connection we want in our relationships.

I use therapeutic approaches such as narrative exposure therapy for PTSD, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and internal family systems (IFS).
My practice focuses on trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse adults who are facing hardships related to trauma. I offer a validating and accepting space where you can gain a deeper understanding of how life challenges have impacted the mind and body, and develop tools to love and accept yourself. I am neurodivergent affirming and create a treatment environment that honors the neurodivergent experience. I treat adults struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, chronic health conditions, relationships, and identity. As a trans woman I prioritize working with transfeminine individuals.

My approach to couples counseling is derived from Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Attachment Theory.
There aren’t many things in life that are as satisfying as feeling “at home” with your partner. You feel safe, comfortable, and connected. You feel like when you express yourself, you’re being heard, and you’re being given the benefit of the doubt. Alternatively, there aren’t many things in life that can feel as miserable as feeling disconnected from your partner. You constantly feel uncared for, misunderstood, unheard, defensive, angry, and resentful. And it feels like there’s no escape.

I specialize in working with individual clients seeking recovery from the psychological and relational injuries of narcissistic family systems, middle-age-related changes and mid-life reviews, existential and spiritual crises/inquiry, ecological-based anxiety, shame, complex trauma, grief, general anxiety, and depression.
Currently accepting individuals for telehealth. My approach to therapy is wholehearted and views clients contextually, recognizing people as interconnected with and influenced by everything from biology and belief to society and the natural environment. I use a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens to understand my clients holistically. Rather than seeking to identify what is wrong, I seek to understand what needs may not be met and collaborate with clients on meeting those needs. This approach sparks inspiration, creativity, and openness and invites into the therapy process a client’s deep and vast wisdom.

I use Internal Family Systems(IFS) that helps us identify and befriend the internal 'voices' or parts of us that may have their own motivations.
Life is stressful; especially as a teen or young adult! So many life changes, school pressure is hard, and relationships with friends and parents can feel overwhelming. As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I have the lived experience and know how hard it can be to constantly worry, feel shame about making small mistakes like forgetting important dates, and wonder if you are 'enough'. Luckily, I have designed my practice to help those with ADHD/ASD, Anxiety, and those in the LGBTQIA+ community overcome life's challenges. I would love to talk with you more about what YOU need! Reach out today!

Family Systems Therapists
Family Systems therapists view problems within the family as the result not of particular members' behaviors, but of the family's group dynamic. The family is seen as a complex system having its own language, roles, rules, beliefs, needs and patterns. The therapist helps each individual member understand how their childhood family operated, their role in that system, and how that experience has shaped their role in the current family.
