We will discuss tangible skills you can use to improve your life, drawing from my training in CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness and harm reduction.
Are you feeling lost, depressed or anxious? Is recent or past trauma disrupting your life? Are you consumed with distressing thoughts about food and/or your body? Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed with life stressors, struggling in your relationships or feeling disconnected from your values. Through therapy, I can offer you a non-judgmental, compassionate and trusting space to support you in exploring the areas of your life that are painful, overwhelming or unfulfilling. Using your values as a guide, we will establish goals to work through the barriers preventing you from achieving your happiest, healthiest and most authentic self.

Treatment for these include Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) and other Mindfulness based interventions.
As a therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will uncover long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I have training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, and earned a Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation from ISSTD.
I work with people who are struggling, and decide take the courageous step to ask for help. Many have a history of trauma and suffer from anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, parenting challenges, sleep issues, sexual difficulties, chronic pain, relationship problems, and other post-traumatic responses. Also, present-day situations in our personal or collective worlds can be objectively hard to bear. Our experiences leave traces psychologically and somatically, so I use evidence-based, body-oriented, mindfulness techniques to address limiting patterns so that you can live more authentically today's challenging world.

Traditionally I have used CBT, ACT, and talk therapy throughout my years in practice.
Hi, I'm Ariel Klassen, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I specialize in trauma, addiction, anxiety and depression and have had the privilege of assisting varying ages from adolescents to adults. In an individual session I value the importance of mental health and am committed to fostering growth in the lives I am a part of. I work with females and males who express varying symptoms of anxiety and depression. Often this is first treated by establishing effective coping skills and then digging a little deeper to explore their past to gain self-awareness and create sustainable growth.

Whether we work together 1:1 or in a therapy group, short- or long-term, I want to help you gain practical skills for self- acceptance and self-compassion that you can use for a lifetime.
Hi! I’m Kalene. I work with people who find it easy to show compassion to others but struggle to have self-compassion. They're often perfectionists, people-pleasers, helpers, empaths, highly sensitive people (HSPs), and overthinkers. I have additional training and experience in treating anxiety/depression and working with survivors of sexual trauma (including childhood sexual abuse, and assault/rape in adulthood). I find that people in these populations can be particularly vulnerable to being unkind to themselves. I specialize in helping people quiet the inner critic, lessen feelings of shame, and find peace with themselves.

I have worked with a variety of clients within different ages and stages of their life. I believe that the therapeutic process should be individually curtailed to each specific client. Every client processes information and sees the world differently. These are the factors at the forefront of my mind when I am considering interventions for clients. I enjoy standing beside my clients on their journey while helping, supporting, and encouraging them to reach their therapeutic goals.

Hi. I'm Kallie Cabrera-Biasotti, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Genuine connection is at the core of my work with clients. I believe it paves the way for healing and transformation when we can feel safe enough to let our guard down and allow another human being to truly see us without the fear of judgement. In the words of Dr. Diane Poole Heller, "We are hurt in relationship and we heal in relationship."

It's time to rediscover the peace and fulfillment of a more connected life. You seem to have it all together—successful, driven, and calm. But underneath, you can’t shake that feeling of disconnection. Despite your best efforts, you feel stuck and restless. People-pleasing, seeking validation, and striving for perfection leave you exhausted and unfulfilled. Surrounded by others yet lonely you fear losing relationships or being a burden. Reconnecting with your true self after years living for others is hard. I help those with high-functioning anxiety or healing from emotionally immature parents reconnect with themselves and find joy.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
