Congratulations on taking the courageous step to begin therapy. As we all know, life can be challenging and demanding at times. This may lead us to feeling sad, angry, hopeless or confused. We may feel stuck and not know how to move forward; which can be a very lonely and scary place to be as well. However, you are not alone and healing is possible! My role as a therapist is to provide a safe place and offer warmth and empathy throughout this collaborative process, in order to help you in exploring your thoughts and feelings, as well as guide you in developing insight and identifying skills to achieve the thriving life you deserve.

I specialize in working with Asian Americans on issues such as anxiety, stress, relationship and cultural identity issues. I want to learn how your unique environment and experiences have shaped who you are today and the challenges that may occur as a result. I make space for both process oriented and result oriented therapy. My clients have shared that they enjoy discussing practical tools that can be practiced outside of session as well as having space to express their thoughts and feelings.

I work with adolescents and adults of all ages to address a range of mental health needs. Commonly voiced concerns might include depression, anxiety, OCD, navigating major life transitions, work-related stress, interpersonal problems, loneliness, difficulties with intimacy, sexual functioning concerns, and issues related to aspects of ones identity (e.g. age, race/ethnicity, spirituality, ability status, etc.) with particular specialization in the areas of gender and sexuality. In addition to individual therapy services I also provide Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples.
