As an attachment-focused and relationship based therapist with extensive experience in trauma informed care, I believe the path to healing involves a multi-faceted approach. Whether it is the day to day stress of parenting, relationships, or life transitions, allow me to help you reach your full potential.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience. I am a US Army Veteran. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I received my Bachelor Degree in Social Work from CSU Fresno in 2006 and my Master Degree in Social Work from CSU Fresno in 2008. I have experience in both in-patient and out-patient mental health treatment, co-occurring treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues, I work with individuals couples and families, and I welcome patients from ages 5 and up.

Balance in body, mind, and spirit are central to wellness and happiness. In addition I believe that humor and compassion can help you reach your full potential and specialized goals. I can help you with enhancing performance at work/sports/school, feelings of depression such as lack of energy and worrying, especially at night. As a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Roubicek and Thacker, I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, PTSD, depression or low self-esteem due to chronic illness, abuse, religious/spiritual concerns, or codependency. I also works with couples navigating their relationship after infidelity or sexual addiction/compulsivity. I am familiar with the deaf and hard of hearing community, and their culture while being conversationally fluent in sign language. My approaches to counseling are from a Humanistic, Existential, Person-centered perspective while utilizing research based Cognitive Behavioral strategies.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, presenter and consultant who has devoted my career to walking with individuals and families during their own times of transitions and growth. In addition to depression and anxiety issues, I specialize in traumatic grief and loss, PTSD, addiction and survivors of childhood molestation.

I assist individuals, couples, children, and families to find meaningful connection and worth in their relationships. I firmly believe each person is worthy of dignity, love, and respect; and help my clients to discover these things within themselves. As a mother of six adopted children, I have vast experience in the joys and struggles of parenting. I strive to help others build healthy attachments within couples, families, and parent-child relationships.

As therapist I really enjoy working with couples as well as individual issues. My training and years of experience in assessment and treatment have focused on various relationship issues (i.e. infidelity, communication problems, marital problems, pre-marital issues, etc ) as well as individual struggles (i.e. anxiety, depression, adolescent delinquency, etc) and family problems (parenting, step-families, co-parenting, family cohesion, etc.)

I offer counseling services to individuals, children (5 and up), couples, and families. I use an integrative behavioral based therapy style that incorporates a variety of beneficial tools that are tailored to each patient. Therapy assists individuals in learning how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on their behavior and emotions. Throughout the therapeutic process I plan to support and guide you in achieving your goals.

I am deeply passionate about mental health and its ability to transform lives through support, insight and empowerment. As each individual is unique, I meet each person where they are at, whether they are processing trauma or struggling with anxiety, depression or life transitions. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientations. I love working with children, teens, and adult clients. I am available to see clients in-person at Tailwinds Therapy located in downtown Clovis, CA or online for clients anywhere in the state of California.

I specialize in teens and adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have over 14 years experience as a licenced clinician. I have been trained in Eye Movement,Desensitization and reprocessing to help clients deal with traumatic experiences. Love and Logic training to teach parenting to those who are having difficulty with problem children. And for couples therapy I have been trained on Mastering the Mysteries of Love (a christian based communication theory).

Relationships and life experiences create opportunities for discovery, growth, and connecting more fully with ourselves and others. I believe healing is found through relationships and by integrating our life experiences when we open our hearts, become more empathetic, and discover greater authenticity within ourselves and our relationships. I work with adult individuals and couples helping them to unpack life’s challenges in order to find understanding, compassion, positive sense of self, relational intimacy, and healing.

Your mental health matters! I take a collaborative approach to psychotherapy and psychological testing, working with patients to reach their goals, feel empowered and find a place of healing. I specialize in a client-centered approach to therapy using Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and/or EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I also offer EMDR online. ADHD testing is available for adults and kids. In person at our Clovis office and/or online.

I offer a creative, grounded approach to counseling that is evidenced-based and trauma informed. I use EMDR, Expressive Arts, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and other attachment-based approaches to help people move toward healing and reduce suffering.

My practice is committed to assist individuals, couples and families towards their personal and relational goals. You may be experiencing a recent life event that you are trying to navigate, or maybe you are dealing with something that has been there for some time, and now you are ready to address. Health, happiness and harmony is in essence our natural state, in most cases, a small adjustment can work wonders in helping us return to that place. I believe I am here to facilitate that for my clients.

I am currently Licensed as an MFT and Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor.
