I don't just like people, I appreciate people. I truly appreciate those who have suffered traumatic events and/or critical incidents (or years of them) and keep going. Walking alongside those who are hurting is my life focus. I am a retired law enforcement officer and have extensive experience working with people in crisis and chaotic situations. Though I never served in the military myself, my family has a very deep military history and there are many parallels between the careers. It is very important for military and first responders, including dispatchers and emergency room personnel, to have a support system in place.

Hi, I'm so glad you are here. My therapeutic approach centers on creating more opportunities for space and reflection. My hope is that our sessions will feel casual and warm, that you feel met right where you are, and that I provide skills and perspective as you work towards your best self. Becoming a parent can be overwhelming and all consuming. I’ve been there. The first few years of my daughter’s life were a blur. I felt lost and like I was not a good enough parent. I felt like I was losing myself. I knew the parent I wanted to be, but did not know how to get there. That is when I knew something needed to change.

In May 2007, I graduated from California State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and shortly after, earned a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling, emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. I began my career as a therapist working with juvenile offenders and youth who’d been diagnosed with severe mental health issues. I quickly recognized that many adults who were tasked with raising these troubled youth were struggling with issues that prevented them from being active caretakers. As a result, working with hurting adults became my passion.

Life can be a lot to handle sometimes and keeping it all together is hard. When you're feeling overwhelmed or need to work through a challenging time in your life, it’s important to have a space and time where the focus is on just you, and to have support in the process.

Hi & Hola! I'm MJ. Are you ready to overcome obstacles and barriers to happiness. I can help you! I understand that many times, even though we want to feel happy and achieve goals such as loosing weight, or finding the right partner, or a great job, we struggle in achieving these dreams because of our mental health state. It's ok! I get it! If you're ready, however, to live a fully, joyful life I can help you identify and overcome some of those mental health barriers that are not allowing you to live life to the fullest. You deserve a great life! And I can help you get it!

Hi, my name is Brian, and I’m a therapist in California. I truly believe we are all connected in some way. Systemically, there are many ways to intervene and improve the way we relate to our own self, and with others. My philosophy is…when I improve, everyone else around me improves. I am a part of a whole. My own experiences have informed, in part, the way I approach problems and seek solutions, with the goal of simply being happier and performing better. As a psychotherapist, I’ve worked with a wide range of diverse people who have sought help for a variety of different concerns and problems.

Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in the field for past 21 years. I believe in providing care with respect, compassion, sensitivity and in a non judgmental way. Life is full of challenges however, in my experience I have realized that most of my clients are equally resourceful. Time and time again I have observed that my clients often resolve their issues with guidance and support. Many of my clients have said that they feel heard and not judged for the decisions they make day in and day out, I believe this is my strength.

It is my passion to help others live happier, calmer, and more fulfilling lives. Much of our inexplicable behavior and habits that hold us back are rooted in our genes, childhood, family dynamics, traumas, and circumstances. I help my clients to understand what holds them back and move through it. I help them to overcome difficult transitions and parenting challenges. I help them to improve their relationships, change negative lifestyle habits, reduce stress, improve confidence and self-esteem, uncover their passions, and eventually become true selves.
