Change is hard, not having the tools, direction, and support make the process even harder. I can help you identify areas that may be keeping you stuck. I also provide wellness and behavioral health coaching in addition to traditional therapy.

Life can be stressful for adults, and children too. I specialize in working with youth, families, and adults to process their past traumatic events and childhood abuse. I utilize a cognitive behavioral, integrative approach, with a trauma informed lens and an emphasis on evidence-based therapies. I know that it can be difficult to talk about these events. That is why in therapy we will work at your pace to identify the impact that your trauma has had on your daily functioning. You will learn skills that help you express and regulate your feelings, challenge negative thinking patterns, and build healthy relationships.

Hi I’m Penny, Thanks for taking the time to consider letting me work with you. I know it is hard to open up and allow someone into your life and thoughts. Let me tell you a little about myself and my reason for being a therapist before you make a decision.

No one escapes from suffering in this life. Accidents and diagnoses pull the rug out from under us. Traumatic experiences wire our nervous systems to scan the horizon for threats. Primary caregivers cause harm even when they have good intentions. When we experience relationships in which we did not feel seen, validated, or safe, our attachment systems are disrupted. We may become hypervigilant, have unstable connections, and reinforce an inner critic that steals our joy. Together we can safely process grief and loss, dismantle self-limiting beliefs, and regulate emotions so you can experience resonance with yourself and others.

People that usually work with me are typically feeling stuck, and at times are questioning their life. I have worked with many stressors for most of my career, in the capacity as an individual therapist, couples and family therapist, group facilitator, educator, coach, and consultant. Although I can work with most, I am a great match for those that identify as creative, cultured, empathic and sensitive. My therapeutic style is eclectic and pull from various modalities to provide support where needed. I am interactive and ask that my clients also work outside the therapy container. I provide legal psychedelic therapy part-time.
